Role Overview

We are in search of a skilled professional to join our Enterprise Architect team, tasked with driving our technology transformation initiatives. This role requires an experienced and proactive Enterprise Architect capable of designing scalable solutions aligned with our strategic objectives. You will collaborate across various functions and domains, demonstrating adaptability and the ability to derive insights that add value.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Platform Strategy & Architecture team to develop technology strategies and roadmaps based on organizational needs.
  • Bring hands-on Enterprise Architecture experience with a proactive mindset, striving for excellence in all endeavors.
  • Evaluate and implement frameworks and standards.
  • Quickly grasp and document value chains and operational models.
  • Establish and maintain a repository of enterprise architecture design materials, including blueprints and patterns, to support the architecture community.
  • Independently manage design challenges and significant incidents, engaging stakeholders, subject matter experts, product managers, business analysts, and solution architects to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Innovate and contribute beyond the scope of embedded solution architects in program delivery teams.
  • Conduct market assessments of vendor solutions and prepare summary reports with options and recommendations.
  • Foster ideas and execute cost-effective proof of concepts.
  • Lead assessments of software and applications, identifying opportunities for growth and cost optimization.
  • Develop cloud-native solutions across various cloud platforms.
  • Provide technological thought leadership and oversight of all domain solution architects, ensuring collaborative development of solutions that meet design authority and architecture review standards.

Qualifications

Essential Skills and Experience

  • Extensive experience as an enterprise architect in wealth or asset management, or proven expertise in tier 1 financial services firms.
  • Experience delivering modern software and database solutions in environments that include SaaS and in-house solutions (including microservices, event-driven design, APIs, etc.).
  • Background as a developer, complemented by experience as a domain solution architect.
  • Proficient in creating high-quality architecture design documents, including maturity assessments, capability maps, roadmaps, and architectural diagrams.
  • Prepare and facilitate architecture review sessions and solution design forums.

Professional Qualifications and Education

  • Technical or numerate degree in fields such as Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, or Mathematics.
  • Professional or expert-level enterprise architecture qualifications, particularly in Azure and TOGAF.

Key Competencies

  • Ability to swiftly comprehend problem statements and context.
  • Develop architecture frameworks, governance, and maintain core architecture artifacts and deliverables.
  • Conduct architecture reviews and lead governance forums such as the Solution Design Forum and Architecture Review Board.
  • Engage and influence stakeholders at all levels, including C-suite executives.
