We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Scientist to join our Acoustic and Structures team in the Building Test Centre at Saint Gobain Interior Solutions. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for testing within acoustics and structure labs, as well as identifying opportunities to optimize testing methods.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct testing in acoustics and structures labs, ensuring high-quality analysis and adherence to UKAS accredited standards.
- Research and implement new testing methods, collaborating with customers and stakeholders to understand their needs and requirements.
- Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the technical aspects of testing for the construction industry, staying up-to-date with industry developments and best practices.
- Plan and conduct UKAS accredited testing, ensuring compliance with EN ISO 17025 standards.
- Drive continuous improvement of our testing methods and processes, delivering high-quality results in a professional manner.
- Adhere to all policies and procedures, prioritizing health and safety, environmental sustainability, and equality of opportunity.
- Minimum of 3 years of Continued Professional Development in specialist domain (Testing and UKAS).
- Experience in construction testing, including fire, acoustics, structures, and glass plastering.
- Education or experience in a science or engineering field (Mechanical engineering).
- Ability to conduct complex testing services in a professional manner and to a high standard.
- Awareness and respect for workplace environment, health, and safety.
