Key Responsibilities
  • Client Relationship Management
    • Manage and grow your own portfolio of clients, providing exceptional service and building strong relationships.
    • Support colleagues in the provision of financial planning advice, ensuring seamless delivery of our wealth management services.
  • Wealth Management and Financial Planning
    • Provide comprehensive wealth management and financial planning advice, including investment, savings, protection, and tax planning.
    • Review existing plans, advise on pooled investment vehicles, bonds, life and other protection plans, retirement income planning, pensions, inheritance tax planning, and cashflow modelling.
    • Support fee-based financial planning advice across a broad range of services, including all forms of pensions, investment, savings, protection, and tax planning vehicles.
    • Confirm the suitability of life, pension, and potentially investment plans already held by clients and assist in developing future arrangements.
  • Performance Measurement and Reporting
    • Performance will be measured against a balanced scorecard covering financial contribution, strategic engagement, risk and compliance, and behaviours.
    • Provide annual reviews and related advice, as well as prepare and issue regular financial planning reports for clients in conjunction with colleagues in the investment team.
  • Business Development and Marketing
    • Engage with and understand prospective clients' needs, presenting and discussing the appropriate 7IM proposition to prospective clients and following through with individually tailored proposals.
    • Convert prospective clients into clients of 7IM and gain additional assets and revenue.
    • Participate in departmental and external provider meetings, taking lead responsibility for the research/analysis of the areas of advice allocated to you.
  • Information Technology and Compliance
    • Maintain an understanding of the Company's systems and use in line with company policy for the maintenance of all client records.
    • Comply with FCA Rules and Principles, FCA Statements of Principle for Approved Persons, the principles of Treating Customers Fairly, Senior Managers Certification Regime, and Compliance and relevant Procedures Manual.
About You

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Financial Planning Director who possesses:

  • Good IT Skills

Experience in the administration, research, and advice across life, investment, and pension products, pooled investment vehicles, the use of bonds, onshore and offshore, life and other protection plans, retirement income planning, and wealth management experience in areas related to the IFA market or from an IFA background in a client-facing role.

Education to Degree level in an appropriate business discipline or with relevant experience, and achieved or working towards Certified and/or Chartered Financial Planning status.
