MWH Treatment is seeking a dedicated and experienced Regional Discipline Lead - Mechanical to join our growing team. This role offers the opportunity to lead and develop a talented group of engineers, ensuring high-quality technical delivery across projects in your region.

Reporting directly to the Regional Engineering Lead, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our mechanical engineering discipline. Your responsibilities encompass people management, engineering discipline oversight, operational excellence, and continuous professional development.

People Management
  • Provide guidance and support to all regional discipline members, fostering a culture of collaboration and growth.
  • Develop and implement training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of the team.
  • Manage staffing levels and personnel resources effectively to meet project demands.
  • Create long-term succession plans to ensure the continuity and development of the discipline.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback to drive individual and team success.
Engineering Discipline Management
  • Champion the strategic design philosophy within the mechanical engineering discipline, ensuring alignment with company standards and best practices.
  • Maintain a robust competency framework for the discipline, identifying skill gaps and implementing development initiatives.
  • Oversee technical quality across all projects, promoting excellence in design and execution.
  • Establish accurate task time requirements (estimates) and monitor project progress effectively.
  • Promote the adoption of efficient task delivery methods and toolsets within the discipline.
  • Allocate the most suitable and competent engineers to projects based on their expertise and experience.
  • Ensure the effective utilization of common information management systems within the discipline.
Operational Management
  • Contribute to the definition and implementation of technical strategies for the mechanical engineering discipline, aligning with overall business objectives.
  • Actively participate in initiatives to enhance discipline productivity and efficiency.
  • Identify and manage tactical technical risks within the discipline, mitigating potential challenges.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring exceptional service delivery.
