About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Sous Chef to join our team at RedCat Pubs. As a key member of our kitchen brigade, you will be responsible for supporting the Head Chef in the development of our menu and ensuring the highest standards of culinary excellence.

As a Sous Chef, you will be responsible for assisting with menu planning, food preparation, and presentation. You will also be expected to maintain high standards of kitchen hygiene and safety, adhering to COSHH and EHO standards at all times.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Head Chef in menu planning and food preparation
  • Maintain high standards of kitchen hygiene and safety
  • Supervise and train junior kitchen staff
  • Assist with stocktakes and GP% management
  • Contribute to the development of new menus and dishes
Requirements
  • Good standards of culinary skills, presentation, and attention to detail
  • Positive attitude and ability to work well under pressure
  • Ability to step up to Head Chef when required
  • Adherence to and maintenance of Health & Safety, EHO, and HACCP standards and procedures
