About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Vehicle Technician to join our team at Steven Eagell Toyota. As a key member of our Customer Services team, you will be responsible for carrying out vehicle services and repairs, examining vehicles, and diagnosing non-routine defects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out vehicle services and repairs in accordance with Lexus technical standards, ensuring a great customer experience.
  • Examine vehicles, diagnose non-routine defects, and report defects against Department of Environment (MOT) and Vehicle Safety Report (VSR) standards.
  • Carry out jobs within budgeted time, maintaining your own productivity and taking responsibility for daily maintenance of tools and equipment.
  • Liaise with customers directly, listening carefully to build rapport and answering questions in a warm and professional manner.
  • Coach and support apprentice technicians, explaining, guiding, and enabling others to learn.
Requirements
  • Qualified Level 2/3 Vehicle Technician or Diagnostic Technician.
  • Previous work experience within an automotive repair environment is necessary.
  • Must hold a Full UK Drivers Licence.
  • Technical aptitude, process-driven, and a fast learner.
  • Organised in the workplace.
  • Confident communicator and ready to ask questions and learn.
  • Passionate about problem-solving and finding solutions to challenges.
