Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support to a child in our Primary School setting. As a key member of our school team, you will work closely with the class teacher, SENDCo, and outside agencies to deliver individualized programs of work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 support to a child with specific needs, working alongside the class teacher and SENDCo to develop and implement individualized programs of work.
- Support the child's social and emotional needs, promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Collaborate with the class teacher and other support staff to deliver high-quality teaching and learning experiences.
- Contribute to the development of the child's skills and abilities, promoting independence and self-confidence.
- Work with the school's pastoral team to provide additional support and guidance as needed.
Requirements:
- Experience of working with children with specific needs, preferably in a Primary School setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with children, staff, and parents.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach.
- Knowledge of child development and learning theories, with a commitment to ongoing professional development.
