About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Knowledge Paralegal to join our Dispute Resolution team at Travers Smith. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing paralegal support and expertise to our lawyers and clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Know-How Tasks
    • Monitor and analyze various sources for legal and regulatory developments in Dispute Resolution.
    • Maintain and update our department's know-how resources, including uploading and organizing documents.
  • Intranet Management
    • Monitor and maintain our department's intranet pages, ensuring content is up-to-date, relevant, and branded.
    • Maintain know-how and guidance notes on the intranet.
  • Training and Meetings
    • Support the Dispute Resolution Knowledge Lawyers with organizing training programs, including logistics and materials.
    • Deliver training sessions to DR trainees on practical legal topics.
  • Business Development Related Tasks
    • Assist with drafting and research for client briefings and external publications.
    • Support business development-related tasks, such as market trends guides and pitches.
  • Legal and Technical Tasks
    • Undertake legal research tasks for the DR Knowledge Team.
    • Draft short-form precedents and process technical updates to DR precedents under supervision.
    • Compile internal data from client work.
    • Assist with answering practical and legal questions from fee-earners.
Requirements
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to work effectively and efficiently in a team setting.
  • Ability to work proactively and assume responsibility for assigned projects and tasks.
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive matters.
  • Law Degree or GDL required, LPC desirable.
