About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Maintenance Technician to join our team at Tarmac Hendre Quarry in Mold, Flintshire. As a Mechanical Maintenance Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our plant and equipment.
Main Responsibilities
- Carry out scheduled, planned, and reactive mechanical maintenance activities to maintain plant condition and performance.
- Monitor and maintain the condition and performance of the plant and associated equipment, identifying any circumstances that could impact availability or performance.
- Carry out mechanical activities safely and ensure jobs are completed in a timely manner, leading mechanical breakdown and planned repairs to ensure expected plant reliability and optimize plant and equipment performance.
- Ensure the most effective mean time to repair methods are adopted to minimize production disruption and downtime.
Requirements
- Proven experience working within an industrial, factory, or similar environment as a Mechanical Maintenance Technician.
- Good knowledge of crushing, screening, conveying, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Use of PCs and capability to use common applications and company systems.
- Fault finding ability to identify defects and recommend appropriate action.
- Good practical knowledge and experience of maintenance systems.
- Ability to assess SHE risks arising from work activities and control risks accordingly.
- Knowledge of site-specific SHE procedures and Safe Working Practices.
- Working knowledge of plant and machinery.
- Basic report writing.
