Claims Team Leader Job Description

Rev & Regs Limited is seeking a highly skilled Claims Team Leader to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and managing a team of claim handlers, ensuring that all claims are handled in a proactive manner and in accordance with the company's Claims Philosophy.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage a team of claim handlers, providing guidance and support to ensure the successful handling of claims.
  • Develop and implement effective strategies to improve the claims process, ensuring that all claims are handled efficiently and effectively.
  • Monitor and oversee the progress of individual team members, providing feedback and coaching to ensure that they are meeting their objectives.
  • Take full responsibility for and accountability for your workload of claims, ensuring that they are handled in a proactive manner and in accordance with the company's Claims Philosophy.
  • Have a detailed knowledge of policy wordings and their application, ensuring that all claims are handled in accordance with the relevant policies.
  • Support the Claims Manager in the oversight of external service providers and TPAs, ensuring that they are maximising the effectiveness of these services.
  • Ensure good and regular lines of communication exist with key brokers, maintaining strong relationships and ensuring that their needs are met.
  • Act on feedback on claims service, addressing any problems quickly and escalating if necessary.
Requirements:
  • Proven leadership capability, with the ability to lead and manage a team of claim handlers.
  • Either legal qualifications or relevant experience, including studying towards or having a real desire to study towards CII qualifications.
  • Good Microsoft Office skills, including Word, Excel, Access and Outlook, and the ability to become fully competent with the company's in-house systems.
  • Excellent time management skills, with the ability to adhere to demanding service level standards and maintain an active case load.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders.
