We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Recovery Workers to be part of our newly established Recovery House. This residential facility offers a safe haven for individuals experiencing enduring mental health challenges, providing up to five days of essential support.
During their stay, clients will benefit from a therapeutic environment designed to promote healing, featuring quiet areas, social spaces, and sensory activities. Our individualized approach ensures that each client is actively involved in their support assessment, planning, and review process. The goal is to evaluate and address the ongoing needs of our clients, helping them build on their existing skills, learn new coping strategies, and develop the confidence needed to manage their mental health effectively.
Key ResponsibilitiesAs a Recovery Worker, you will:
- Deliver recovery-oriented support in alignment with personalized support plans.
- Engage with clients using positive communication techniques, demonstrating unconditional positive regard.
- Collaborate with the client's support network to foster happiness, health, and success in achieving personal goals.
- Maintain accurate daily records and incident reports.
- Assist in onboarding new staff members.
- Ensure the cleanliness and safety of the facility in accordance with infection control protocols.
This role requires flexibility, including the ability to work evenings, weekends, and sleep-in shifts. Two positions are specifically for night Recovery Workers, who will primarily work independently but will have support available in emergencies.
Ideal Candidate ProfileWhile previous experience in mental health is beneficial, it is not mandatory. What truly matters is your sincere desire to support individuals in their recovery journey and your proactive attitude.
We are looking for empathetic, motivated, and professional individuals who are committed to assisting clients with mental health and complex care needs, especially during crises. Strong communication skills are essential for effectively interacting with diverse individuals and collaborating with other professionals.
