About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated, multi-disciplinary senior designer to join our growing Editorial Design & Visuals Department. The ideal candidate must demonstrate a passion for visual journalism, have strong communication skills, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and a meticulous attention to detail.

Responsibilities
  • Work closely with the newsroom to enhance articles, social media, newsletters, and audio experiences with custom artwork and templates.
  • Maintain and audit a library of editorial and social templates, creating new templates when needed.
  • Commission freelance illustrators to create original artwork for podcasts.
Requirements
  • At least 4 years of design experience in a newsroom or other relevant industry.
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Indesign, etc.).
  • Ability to manage your time across several workstreams.
  • Data visualization and/or motion design skills are a plus.
