· Engages in special projects as directed by the Operations Manager, assisting Rig Managers in evaluating and managing rig operational expenses.

· Aims to minimize personnel turnover on rigs through effective management practices.

· Participates in the assessment of daily rig operations, providing comprehensive reports to Rig Managers from Offshore Installation Managers.

· Conducts periodic on-site evaluations and audits to ensure operational standards are met.

· Collaborates with Rig Managers to identify and address potential operational challenges.

· Assists in evaluating operational efficiency and works with Rig Managers to implement necessary improvements.

· Aids in the coordination of material procurement and inventory management for rigs.

· Works with management to develop employee training programs focused on certification, team-building, and various developmental projects.

· Partners with Rig Managers to monitor and review monthly equipment performance reports.

· Provides exceptional customer support in collaboration with Business Development through client visits and follow-ups.

· Shares responsibilities with Rig Managers for coaching and addressing employee-related matters.

· Engages in technical discussions regarding operational troubleshooting with Rig and Operations Managers.

· Offers on-site assistance during rig relocations as instructed by the Operations Manager.

· Aids Rig and Operations Managers in preparing capital and operational budgets.

· Remains knowledgeable about relevant governmental, union, labor, safety, and environmental regulations impacting rig operations.

· Supports Rig Managers in ensuring compliance with these regulations.

· Acts as the Rig Manager during absences and vacations, making operational decisions that align with Valaris' strategic vision.

· Demonstrates competencies expected of a Rig Manager to enhance asset performance and meet Valaris standards.

· Recommends and coordinates activities necessary for the enhancement, maintenance, and compliance of assigned assets.

· Ensures that fixed assets adhere to regulatory standards and maintain operational consistency with Valaris and industry benchmarks.

· Integrates Valaris HSE standards into asset management decisions.

· Coordinates, monitors, and reports on assigned projects to ensure operational effectiveness within defined scopes, timelines, and budgets.

· Maintains the physical integrity of assets, recommending enhancements to extend their useful life and improve marketability.

· Proposes asset improvements aimed at increasing efficiency, marketability, and profitability early in the planning stages.

Qualifications

· A Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution is preferred.

· A minimum of years in an operations management role within a similarly sized and complex organization.

Skills & Experience

· Familiarity with internal controls in accordance with COSO Standards.

· Proficient in data analysis and synthesis, ensuring accuracy and relevance in operational assessments.

· Proven leadership and influence capabilities.

· Understanding of financial accounting, procurement, and management systems.

· Physically capable of being transported to offshore rigs via boat or helicopter.

· Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including financial functions, macros, and data management.

· Knowledgeable in document control systems and databases.
