We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Tax Professional to join our team at Arora Management Services Ltd as a Senior Tax Manager. This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires a strong understanding of tax compliance and corporate tax laws.
Key Responsibilities- Manage Tax Compliance: Ensure timely and accurate preparation and submission of all tax obligations across the group, including corporation tax, VAT, and other tax obligations.
- Oversee Tax Processes: Oversee and review smaller, simpler entities, with hands-on preparation required for more complex, higher-risk entities.
- Prepare Tax Provisions: Prepare month-end and year-end tax provisions for inclusion in management accounts and ensure tax is reconciled to the submitted returns.
- Prepare Tax Disclosures: Prepare the relevant tax disclosures in the annual statutory financial statements.
- Assist with Statutory Accounts: Assist in the year-end statutory accounts preparation process, including preparation of ETBs, specific disclosure notes, and fully set accounts as required.
- Manage Tax Risk: Strengthen relevant tax controls and awareness within the business and manage the group's tax risk through on-site audits and delivery of training.
- Review and Improve Processes: Continually review processes, proactively provide ideas for improvement, and manage implementation.
- Manage Team: Manage, coach, and develop the Tax Accountant directly reporting into the role.
- Strategic Tax Planning: Active involvement in strategic tax planning, including corporation interest restriction allocations, capital allowance claims, group relief, and loss allocations.
- Collaborate with Stakeholders: Work closely with the central finance team, Head of Tax for the Family Office, and external tax advisors on projects and transactions.
- Liaise with HMRC: Liaise with HMRC on all correspondence.
- Qualifications: Qualified ACA and/or CTA with strong tax compliance experience.
- Experience: Minimum 4 years PQE.
- Knowledge and Skills: Specific knowledge and experience in corporate tax and VAT, experience of managing large complex groups, good statutory accounting knowledge with some statutory financial statements experience, experience in the property sector is desired but not essential.
- Personal Qualities: Organized and methodical with strong time management and excellent attention to detail, strong communication skills both in writing and orally with experience managing stakeholders, proactive and demonstrates initiative, curious with skills in problem-solving and process improvement, comfortable working under pressure and is confident delivering responsibilities with minimum supervision.
