We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Midwifery Team Lead to join our Community Care team at Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading a small team of Midwives and Maternity Support Workers in the Witney area to provide a community midwifery service.
Main Responsibilities- Lead a team of Midwives and Maternity Support Workers to provide high-quality community midwifery care to women and their families.
- Develop and implement effective care plans to meet the individual needs of women and their babies.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care transitions and promote a collaborative approach to women's care.
- Manage a clinical caseload and be accountable for the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
- Participate in the development of evidence-based clinical practice and ensure agreed policies, guidelines, and standards are implemented and monitored.
- Act as a role model in clinical practice and be proactive in implementing local, regional, and national midwifery policies.
- Liaise with OUH colleagues and other professional and non-professional agencies to ensure health and social care needs are addressed as appropriate.
- Participate in the community maternity service bleep holder rota and be available for additional clinical advice and operational decision-making.
- Experience of community midwifery and a broad range of clinical midwifery experience acquired through practice.
- Ability to manage a caseload and be accountable for the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
- Proven practice and service development skills.
- Demonstrable professional leadership and negotiating skills.
- Ability to undertake audit and highly self-motivated, positive, and enthusiastic.
