About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Operations Accountant to join our team at Wren Kitchens. As an Operations Accountant, you will play a key role in ensuring the financial health and stability of our manufacturing operations.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Review daily key reports to identify areas outside of tolerance and take corrective action.
  • Produce weekly manufacturing and transport packs to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
  • Support the preparation of monthly financial commentary on volumes, manufacturing and material variance, fixed costs, and site margin.
  • Analyze MUV/PPV/MPV data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Conduct direct and indirect labor analysis to optimize resource allocation.
  • Perform balance sheet reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Prepare site and transport fixed asset registers to maintain accurate records.
  • Calculate product costs and track cost variances to inform business decisions.
  • Support the preparation of quarterly forecasts and annual budgets to ensure financial stability.

About You

We are looking for a qualified and experienced Operations Accountant who possesses excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. You should have a strong understanding of financial principles and be able to communicate complex information in a clear and concise manner.

Desired Skills and Knowledge:

  • Qualified or part-qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
  • Experience with a recognized ERP system (preferably IFS)
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing role
  • Excellent attention to detail and quality
  • Ability to work as part of a team and communicate effectively
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to deal with colleagues and suppliers
  • A commitment to doing the job right and challenging the status quo
