Technical Manager Opportunity

Alexander Steele Recruitment is partnering with a leading food manufacturer to find a skilled Technical Manager to join their team in Surrey.

Role Overview

The Technical Manager will be responsible for implementing the company's technical and operational goals, ensuring the delivery of high-quality products that meet customer expectations. This will involve managing the technical team, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures, and building strong relationships with customers and suppliers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the technical team, providing guidance and support to ensure the achievement of technical and operational goals
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with food safety and quality standards
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and suppliers, responding to queries and complaints in a timely manner
  • Ensure the technical function is cost-effective and runs with the required resources
  • Work with the senior management team to implement company policies and business objectives

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in a technical or quality management position, with customer and supplier-facing experience
  • Food Science degree desirable
  • HACCP Level 3+
  • Lead Auditor or equivalent experience
  • Good knowledge of BRC
