Job Title: Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer

Questech Recruitment Ltd is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our client's fast-paced production facility in Castleford, West Yorkshire.

About the Role:

We are looking for a reliable and motivated individual with a strong background in maintenance and repair. The successful candidate will have experience working in a manufacturing environment, with a strong understanding of maintenance management systems and software.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Reactive maintenance: Respond to breakdowns to ensure production is back up and running as quickly and safely as possible.
  • Attend breakdowns promptly and make repairs to the highest quality.
  • Complete regular machine maintenance programs to reduce downtime and complete relevant paperwork.
  • PLC fault finding would be an advantage but is not essential.
  • Project work (CI / Installation / New Machinery commissioning).
  • Planned Preventative Maintenance: Ensure planned maintenance is carried out in line with the site schedule.
  • Liaise with other departments to ensure tasks are completed with minimal impact on operations.
  • Manage Health and Safety: Ensure all engineering work carried out in the value stream meets the requirements of Quality, Safety, Health & Environment policies & procedures.
Requirements:
  • NVQ Level 3 trained.
  • Trustworthy, motivated, and a problem solver.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficient written, numerical, and verbal skills.
  • Good computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office.
