Job Title: Operations Superintendent

Valaris is seeking an experienced Operations Superintendent to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our rigs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Partner with Rig Managers to implement and maintain safety programs, conduct safety inspections, and investigate accidents.
  • Develop and implement personal development plans for Rig Managers, including completion of formal leadership development programs.
  • Assist Rig Managers in reviewing and monitoring rig operating costs, reducing personnel attrition, and improving operational effectiveness.
  • Participate in on-site inspections, audits, and troubleshooting discussions with Rig and Operations managers.
  • Provide on-site support and assistance for rig moves, capital and operating budget preparation, and adherence to governmental, union, labor, safety, and environmental rules and regulations.
  • Serve as Acting Rig Manager during vacations and other absences, making operational decisions aligned with Valaris vision.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Minimum years of experience in an operations management function in a business of similar size and complexity.
  • Knowledge of internal controls, financial accounting, purchasing, and management systems.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel at an advanced level.
  • Working knowledge of document control systems and databases.
