This is a substantive post for a Consultant Psychiatrist with the North Islington Community Recovery and Rehabilitation Team. The role involves leading future developments and implementing the North London mental health trusts clinical strategy.
Main Responsibilities- Work as a Consultant Psychiatrist in the North Islington Recovery & Rehabilitation Team, a community mental health team that treats people with psychotic illnesses.
- Develop and implement evidence-based treatments for patients living in the northern part of Islington.
- Collaborate with the Core Team, The Personality Disorder Team, and the Community Rehab Team to deliver high-quality care.
- Full registration with the General Medical Council (GMC) and a license to practice.
- Membership of Royal College of Psychiatrists or equivalent higher qualification in psychiatry.
- Section 12(2) and Approved Clinician status (or eligibility) - qualifies to act as a Responsible Clinician Registered with Royal College of Psychiatrists CPD programme and in good standing.
- Ability to be flexible and adaptable to change.
- Ability to effectively communicate ideas and influence others.
- Good knowledge of and ability to use both spoken and written English.
This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions.
