Cargo Warehouse Operative Job Description

Right Now Group is currently recruiting for part-time Cargo Warehouse Operatives for a global parcel company based at East Midlands Airport.

No prior experience is required, as full training will be provided for this role.

To be eligible, you must have a trackable 5-year employment and/or education history. The referencing process typically takes 2-3 weeks, depending on your employment history. We will also apply for your DBS.

Please note that you will only be able to start once we've completed your 5-year employment and/or education history. Therefore, no immediate start is available.

Shift Pattern:

Sunday: 20:00 - 05:00 AM

Tuesday: 01:30 - 05:15 AM

Wednesday: 01:30 - 05:15 AM

Thursday: 01:30 - 05:15 AM

Friday: 01:30 - 05:15 AM

Job Responsibilities:
  • Working in a fast-paced Warehouse Environment
  • Loading and Unloading Parcels onto X-Ray machines, Conveyor belts, and Vehicles
  • Using a hand-held scanners to scan parcels as they travel through the facility
  • Adhering to Health and Safety legislation at all times

This position requires a good level of fitness, as repetitive manual lifting and some parcels could weigh up to 25kg.

Requirements:
  • Safety Boots / Steel Toe capped boots (You will need to provide these)
  • 5-year check-able work history, ideally based in the UK
  • DBS dated in the last 10 weeks or a new DBS (Criminal Record check) to be applied for by Right Now Group, paid for by yourself within your first few weeks of pay and must not show any disqualifying criminal convictions.
  • Aviation Security Training (Cargo Operative Training) to be completed prior to starting this will be administered by Right Now Group and paid for by yourself within your first few weeks of pay.

The cost of your DBS and CO training will be deducted from your first two weeks' pay.
