We are seeking a highly skilled Research and Evaluation Manager to join our Public Health team at Leicestershire County Council. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading the development and delivery of high-quality research and evaluation projects that promote research and evaluation within the organisation and ensure effective links with local and national research networks and functions.
Key Responsibilities- Analyse, synthesise, interpret and present complex qualitative and quantitative data & findings from research and evaluation projects.
- Interpret, summarise and critically appraise national and international research and locally derived evidence to support design of and investment decisions relating to innovative solutions for local public health initiatives and health services.
- Develop and implement a project management approach in research and evaluation projects.
- Manage by influencing, negotiating, facilitating and encouraging involvement from a range of people and organizations.
- Design and deliver presentations and training on public health and associated topics to a range of audiences.
- Ability to analyse, synthesise, interpret and present complex qualitative and quantitative data & findings from research and evaluation projects, typically gained through post-graduate study such as the Masters in Public Health or related scientific, research or analytic fields.
- Ability to interpret, summarise and critically appraise national and international research and locally derived evidence to support design of and investment decisions relating to innovative solutions for local public health initiatives and health services.
- Understanding of alternative methods of evaluation (including process, outcome, impact, economic) and under-pinning approaches to project or programme objective setting (including logic frameworks, theories of change).
- Experience of successfully developing and implementing a project management approach in research and evaluation projects.
- Ability to manage by influencing, negotiating, facilitating and encouraging involvement from a range of people and organizations.
- Ability to design and deliver presentations and training on public health and associated topics to a range of audiences.
