Role Overview

As a Building Maintenance Specialist, you will play a vital role in supporting the maintenance operations on-site, under the guidance of the Technical Services Shift Leader who will oversee your daily responsibilities.

Your duties will include general building upkeep, covering mechanical, electrical, and structural tasks, as part of a cohesive, multi-disciplinary building services team. You will also participate in the on-call response team.

In addition to your core responsibilities, we are committed to developing the successful candidate's skills as an Electrician, promoting your professional growth and career advancement within the ISS team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the delivery of a 'Best in Class' standard for Engineering and Fabric services, including those provided through external suppliers.
  • Ensure all engineering services are maintained effectively, meeting and exceeding the environmental requirements set by the client.
  • Perform mechanical and electrical repairs and modifications as directed, prioritizing safety at all times.
  • Complete minor scheduled maintenance tasks on all equipment, fabric, and systems, assisting the Technical Services Shift Leader in the planning, execution, and completion of maintenance activities using the Concept CAFM System.
  • Assist the Technical Services Shift Leader in managing the asset database and reporting on asset performance throughout its lifecycle.
  • Promote continuous improvement and innovation within the M&E and Fabric services, supporting the implementation of new initiatives.
  • Maintain a safe working environment for all building occupants and the ISS engineering team, as well as suppliers and contractors.
Qualifications and Skills
  • NVQ Level 2 in Building Fabric and System Maintenance.
  • Prior experience in building maintenance within a service-oriented industry.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, demand-driven environment.
  • Familiarity with the Concept CAFM System.
  • Strong organizational abilities.
  • Proficient IT skills.
