About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Financial Operations Assistant to join our Finance Team at The Veterinary Defence Society. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing administrative support to our Management Accountant and contributing to the smooth operation of our financial processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Purchase Ledger Processing: Accurately process and reconcile purchase ledger transactions, ensuring timely and accurate payment of invoices.
  • Sales Ledger Processing: Manage sales ledger transactions, including invoicing, credit control, and reconciliations.
  • Payment Runs: Coordinate and process payment runs, ensuring timely and accurate payment of bills and invoices.
  • Claims Payment Processing: Process and reconcile claims payments, ensuring accurate and timely payment.
  • Credit Control: Monitor and manage credit control activities, including chasing outstanding debts and negotiating payment plans.
  • Administration: Provide administrative support to the Finance Team, including filing, data entry, and other tasks as required.
Requirements
  • Qualifications: AAT qualified or equivalent experience.
  • Skills: Strong attention to detail, numeracy skills, and excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Experience: Previous experience in a financial administration role, preferably in a similar industry.
  • IT Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel, and experience with financial software.
