Lead Project Management Specialist

Position Overview:

We are looking for an experienced Lead Project Management Specialist to join our team at Reed Engineering. This is a permanent role that requires a strong background in managing commercial construction Mechanical and Electrical (M&E) projects.

Compensation and Benefits:

This position offers a hybrid working model, allowing for a combination of office, site, and remote work.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage primarily NEC projects (with some JCT) in accordance with contractual agreements.
  • Address prolongation claims, adjudication processes, and other project challenges in a timely and professional manner.
  • Oversee the entire project lifecycle from initial handover through to project closeout.
  • Facilitate clear and detailed communication to support project objectives.
  • Monitor all aspects of project performance and define deliverables for both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Maintain financial oversight and ensure robust margin management for each project.
  • Execute projects to optimize business advantages while effectively managing project risks.
  • Collaborate with various departments to support project activities related to tenders and quotations.
  • Create precise project plans and ensure that any changes are communicated efficiently.

Qualifications:
  • Formal Project Management certification is essential.
  • Proven experience in delivering M&E design, manufacturing, and installation projects within sectors such as Energy, Nuclear, Petrochemical, or Aerospace.
  • Significant familiarity with NEC contracts and, to a lesser extent, JCT contracts.
  • Knowledge of large-scale projects, such as Gas Turbine projects, is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Experience in project management within fabrication or manufacturing environments is beneficial.

Skills Required:
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong commercial acumen.
  • Excellent management and interpersonal skills.
  • Familiarity with project planning software such as Primavera P3e or Microsoft Project.

Please note that candidates must already be within a reasonable commuting distance to the office location without the need for relocation.
