Job Summary:
The Windsor Forest Colleges Group is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Safeguarding and Wellbeing Officer to join the Strodes team on a term-time, full-time basis. As a key member of the college community, you will provide support in safeguarding cases, work with external agencies, and attend meetings on behalf of the college.
Key Responsibilities:
- Take on the role of designated safeguarding officer on a rota basis, ensuring the college's safeguarding policies and procedures are implemented effectively.
- Represent the college at external multiagency meetings, fostering strong relationships with local authorities and community organizations.
- Provide front-line wellbeing support for students, addressing their emotional and psychological needs in a compassionate and confidential manner.
- Collect and analyze data on safeguarding, wellbeing, and student participation, providing valuable insights to inform college policies and strategies.
- Maintain clear communication and consistency of approach with other safeguarding teams, ensuring a cohesive and effective safeguarding framework.
- Assist with general enquiries, support incidents and emergencies, and contribute to the smooth running of the college campuses, promoting a safe and supportive learning environment.
- Organize cross-college events and special projects for students, enhancing their educational experience and promoting a sense of community.
- Maintain positive links with community and third sector providers, fostering partnerships that benefit the college and its students.
- Participate in college activities such as open evenings and student interviewing and enrolment arrangements, showcasing the college's commitment to student success.
