About the Role

You will provide legal advice and support to HR and RELX businesses in the UK and EMEA on a variety of labor and employment law matters relevant to large, multinational employers. You will collaborate with different RELX businesses to assist them in implementing strategies and reaching their business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Offering employment law advice on topics such as HR policies, disciplinary procedures, and restructurings.
  • Conducting training on employment law matters for HR and management.
  • Supervising outside counsel and drafting legal documents like employment contracts and settlement agreements.
  • Supporting HR and Associate General Counsel – Employment on key employment law changes.

Requirements

  • Possess extensive experience as a UK employment lawyer within a law firm or in-house counsel.
  • Knowledge of EMEA employment-related legal systems and legislation.
  • Working knowledge of privacy law, mergers and acquisitions, and employee benefits programs.
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Ability to promote a compliance-focused business culture.
