About the Role:This is an excellent opportunity to apply your psychology background in a supportive, nurturing, and dynamic environment. As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will be working with individuals aged 7 to 18 with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs, as well as autism and associated conditions.
Responsibilities:- Support individual students and small groups with tailored learning activities.
- Assist in the implementation of individual education plans (IEPs) and behaviour management strategies.
- Provide emotional and social support, helping students to develop confidence and independence.
- Collaborate with teachers and specialists to adapt classroom activities and materials to meet the needs of all learners.
- A Psychology Degree (or related field).
- A genuine interest in working with children with SEN and a desire to make a positive impact.
- An enhanced Child DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, empathy, and a resilient mindset.
