Key Responsibilities of a Culinary Team Associate

As a Culinary Team Associate, you will engage in various customer-focused tasks throughout the hostel, ensuring an exceptional experience for all guests and visitors.

While your primary focus will be on catering duties, you may also assist in other areas of the hostel. Your contributions may include:

  • Strictly adhering to food safety standards in food storage, preparation, and service.
  • Maintaining a strong commitment to health and safety protocols, ensuring timely and accurate completion of kitchen inspections.
  • Taking pride in the preparation, presentation, and serving of high-quality meals.
  • Carefully documenting food waste in accordance with hostel procedures, with an emphasis on minimizing waste to enhance profitability.
  • Delivering food and beverages with warmth and hospitality, engaging in genuine, inclusive conversations. Encourage guests to enjoy dinner with us or suggest a drink or dessert while assisting with table service, ensuring a welcoming experience for all.

Desired Skills and Experience for a Culinary Team Associate

While previous experience in a customer-facing role is beneficial, it is not a strict requirement for our Culinary Team Associates. Experience in hospitality or customer service is preferred but not mandatory.

Strong communication skills are essential, and punctuality is highly valued.

*We appreciate real-life experience as much as formal skills and knowledge. We provide comprehensive training, ongoing development, and induction programs. While not essential, experience in volunteering or teamwork is advantageous.
