Timber Sales Professional

As a Timber Sales Specialist at Arco Recruitment, you will play a crucial role in driving sales of timber products. Your primary focus will be on providing expert advice to customers, managing inventory, and ensuring timely and efficient delivery of timber products.
Key Responsibilities:- Customer Advisory Services: Provide expert advice to customers on timber products, including types, grades, sizes, and uses.
- Product Selection: Assist customers in selecting the appropriate timber products for their projects.
- Sales Transaction Processing: Process sales transactions, prepare quotes, and follow up on inquiries.
- Industry Knowledge: Maintain in-depth knowledge of timber products and industry trends.
- Market Updates: Stay updated on new products, technologies, and market developments.
- Inventory Management: Manage timber stock levels to ensure availability of products.
- Inventory Turnover: Monitor inventory turnover and place orders to replenish stock as needed.
- Stock Checks: Conduct regular stock checks and manage discrepancies.
- Supplier Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with timber suppliers.
- Negotiation: Negotiate terms, pricing, and delivery schedules with suppliers.
- Supplier Evaluation: Evaluate supplier performance and address any issues.
- Sales Strategies: Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve company targets.
- Sales Team Collaboration: Collaborate with the sales team to develop promotional activities and campaigns.
- Customer Relationships: Develop and maintain strong relationships with key customers.
- Customer Complaints: Handle customer complaints and resolve issues promptly.
- After-Sales Support: Provide after-sales support and follow up to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Health and Safety: Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in the handling and storage of timber.
- Experience: Proven experience in timber within the construction or building materials industry.
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of timber products, their uses, and industry standards.
- Skills: Excellent communication and customer service skills, strong negotiation and sales abilities.
- Personal Qualities: Attention to detail, problem-solving skills, ability to work independently and as part of a team, commitment to quality and customer satisfaction.
