Job Description

Job Title: Senior Project Manager - Smart Building Technology

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to join our Design and Build Team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the full project lifecycle, from bid stage through to project handover. The role will involve overseeing the on-site installation, support, and maintenance of specialist smart building technology across a number of well-established Client sites.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the full project lifecycle, from bid stage through to project handover.
  • Oversee the on-site installation, support, and maintenance of specialist smart building technology.
  • Develop and implement project programs, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Manage and coordinate on-site installation teams, liaising with site personnel to ensure all works are coordinated.
  • Manage all documentation, including project reports, meeting minutes, and technical documentation.
  • Provide leadership for the team, overseeing design, installation, testing, and commissioning, as well as commercial and contractual aspects of the project.
  • Conduct lessons learned sessions to enable the organization to learn from positive and challenging experiences, making each project better than the last.

Requirements:

  • Strong track record in managing systems projects.
  • Full P&L responsibility for projects, including planning and progress management.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve project goals.
  • Strong commercial awareness, including bid analysis, financial breakdown, and presentation of numbers.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite, including Outlook, Excel, Word, Teams, and Project.
  • SMSTS certification.
  • Full, clean driving license.
  • PRINCE2, APM, CTPM (Project Management Certification).
  • Minimum 5 A*-C GCSE's, including Maths and English.
  • IPAF or PASMA certification.
  • PAT testing.
  • Management of systems or structured cabling projects.
