Our Boston facility specializes in producing chilled Italian ready meals and modern deli products, employing over 700 dedicated individuals.
Role Overview.
As a Production Section Supervisor, you will oversee and coordinate all activities within your designated section of the factory. Your responsibilities will include managing staff, optimizing productivity, and ensuring that performance targets and service levels are consistently met.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise the production area, managing start-up procedures and ensuring optimal labor allocation.
- Conduct Return to Work interviews and participate in daily review meetings and team briefings.
- Evaluate performance metrics related to quality, throughput, and crew size.
- Perform audits on daily technical documentation.
- Collaborate with the First Line Coordinator on DWOR completion.
- Ensure effective handover documentation for the incoming shift and maintain cleanliness in the packing area.
- Analyze productivity data to identify areas for improvement.
- Assess training needs within your section and manage the delivery of training programs.
- Proven experience in a production or section management role within the food manufacturing sector.
- Familiarity with continuous improvement methodologies.
- Strong understanding of retailer expectations and compliance.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and engage team members in a factory setting.
