Quality Assurance and Safety Supervisor

Salary:
Approximately £35,000 - £40,000

A reputable Plastic Injection Moulding organization is seeking a Quality Assurance and Safety Supervisor to enhance their operational team.


Quality Assurance and Safety Supervisor – Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and uphold quality and safety management systems.
  • Ensure product adherence to applicable internal and external standards.
  • Collaborate with the organization to drive continuous enhancements in manufacturing practices and compliance.
  • Validate product conformity through systematic testing procedures.
  • Perform regular assessments of standards, policies, and operational procedures.
  • Analyze manufacturing data to guarantee product conformity.
  • Offer insights and suggestions for operational improvements.
  • Assist the production team with incident investigations and risk evaluations.
  • Develop and revise operational instructions, quality strategies, and safe working protocols.
  • Deliver statistical reports to management regarding quality and safety metrics.
  • Partner with the production team to foster a culture of quality and health, safety, and environment (HSE) throughout the organization.
  • Engage in daily discussions with the production team, providing a dashboard analysis of compliance metrics.

Quality Assurance and Safety Supervisor – Candidate Profile:
The successful applicant must possess experience in the manufacturing sector as a Quality Assurance and Safety Supervisor.

Essential qualifications, skills, and experience include:

  • Certification in IOSH Managing Safely or NEBOSH General Certificate.
  • Proficiency in problem-solving methodologies (e.g., 8D, PPAP).
  • Ideally trained as an ISO 9001 auditor.
  • Background in quality management systems.
  • Familiarity with lean six sigma principles and experience in 5S implementation.
  • Competence in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Previous experience in a continuous manufacturing environment.
