Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Front of House Operations Manager to join our team at CaterShaw Recruitment. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of our front-of-house services.

Main Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Management
    • Assume leadership responsibilities in the absence of the Front of House Manager, demonstrating a positive and proactive approach to managing the team and operations.
    • Motivate and inspire the Front of House team to deliver exceptional customer service and maintain high standards of presentation.
  • Operational Management
    • Supervise the daily operations of the food service teams, ensuring efficient allocation of duties and tasks.
    • Assist with the management and provision of wine, including pairing wines and selecting new wines for the cellar.
  • Customer Service and Quality
    • Ensure that all customers receive exceptional service and experience, meeting or exceeding their expectations.
    • Maintain high standards of presentation and quality in all aspects of food service provision.
  • Staff Development and Training
    • Train and develop staff to achieve high standards of customer service and presentation, teaching new skills and emphasizing the importance of presentation.
    • Lead by example in observing rules concerning personal hygiene and appearance.
  • Administrative and Record-Keeping
    • Ensure all daily record-keeping is maintained, including staff briefings and allergen information.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in a similar role, with a strong background in front-of-house operations and customer service.
  • Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Strong organizational and administrative skills, with attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other departments to achieve common goals.
  • Knowledge of wine and wine pairing, with the ability to select and manage a wine cellar.
