As a Vehicle Production Specialist at McLaren Automotive, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth launch into production of models and subsequent derivatives and model year changes. Your primary focus will be on coordinating cross-functional teams to achieve quality, cost, and volume targets.
Key Tasks:
- Understand and follow detailed work instructions for vehicle construction, painting, or assembling.
- Ensure all station operations on each vehicle meet the required quality standard.
- Meet production targets while maintaining a safe working environment.
- Collaborate with teams to define and solve problems affecting vehicle quality, cost, or productivity.
- Attend work regularly and inform the team leader of any lateness or unplanned absence.
- Maintain a clean, tidy, and orderly work area in line with brand expectations.
- Participate in safety activities and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Support the development of vehicle assembly processes and generic hand tool requirements.
- Document vehicle build concerns and root cause analysis.
- Train build technicians and adhere to McLaren brand values.
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- A minimum Level 2/3 Diploma in Light Vehicle maintenance and/or Electric/Hybrid Vehicle System repair and replacement.
- Vehicle production experience.
- Build concern reporting skills.
- Quality measurement systems knowledge, including Faro arm usage.
- Ability to work under demanding time schedules.
- Process and product maturation experience.
- Collaboration and teamwork skills.
