Job Title: Multi Skilled Maintenance Technician

Job Summary

Gem Partnership Ltd is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Multi Skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for providing breakdown support to our assembly areas, maintaining maximum facility efficiency and uptime, and carrying out improvements and preventative maintenance on equipment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out fault-finding activities and undertake timely repair of equipment, including robotics, PLCs, electrical control systems, hydraulics, and pneumatics, as well as spot-welding equipment.
  • Undertake planned preventative maintenance activities on automated production facilities to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
  • Adhere to department systems and procedures to ensure consistency and quality in maintenance activities.
  • Take ownership of specific equipment to maintain excellent levels of performance with minimal downtime.
  • Ensure strict adherence to safe working practices and observe safety rules at all times.
  • Support equipment commissioning and installation projects to ensure smooth integration into production processes.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement and implement changes to enhance equipment performance and efficiency.

Requirements

  • Must have multi-skilled maintenance experience with automated robotic facilities.
  • Must have served a recognized maintenance apprenticeship, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proven problem-solving skills using a structured approach.
  • Ability to work under minimal supervision with objectives set by the Team Leader or Manager.
  • Demonstrates a positive attitude toward change and continuous improvement.
