Scotland, United Kingdom NHS Education for Scotland Full time

Position: General Practice Associate Educator - GP Training

Work Schedule: Part Time, 1 PA (4 hours weekly)

Employment Type: Permanent

Location Flexibility: Remote-friendly opportunities available across Scotland, with options for office and hybrid work arrangements.

NHS Education for Scotland (NES) serves as the National Health Board, tasked with implementing sustainable improvements through workforce development, education, and training within the health and social care sectors in Scotland, while collaborating with partner organizations at the UK level.

We are seeking applications from qualified General Practice Educators to contribute to the delivery of General Practice education and support within the Scotland Deanery.

The Associate Educator will play a vital role in the NES team, focusing on the provision of GP education. Responsibilities include assisting in the creation of educational activities and resources tailored for multiprofessional learners at various stages of their General Practice careers. This encompasses involvement in CPD Connect initiatives, Practice Based Small Group Learning (PBSGL) training, module development, GPST education, and simulation-based learning events.

This role entails a commitment of 1 session per week, with a negotiable base location. However, the successful candidate may occasionally be required to work from NES offices. Candidates should possess a medical qualification with a background in Primary Care, along with a solid understanding and experience in contemporary CPD methodologies, learning needs assessment, and evaluation of learning outcomes. Reporting to the Assistant Director of General Practice Education, candidates should demonstrate excellent communication and organizational abilities.

The Scotland Deanery is dedicated to delivering high-quality medical education to the workforce, aligning with the NHS Education corporate strategy.
