Key Responsibilities:
  1. Transportation Planning: Utilize our Transport Management System (TMS) to plan and execute the collection and delivery of cargo, ensuring accurate invoicing and meeting individual customer requirements.
  2. Team Coordination: Plan and disseminate transportation activity information to the Transport and Distribution Team, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration.
  3. Driver Support: Ensure that collection and delivery information is accurately communicated to and from drivers through the TMS Phone App, and that all information is fully understood, actioned, and closed out within the TMS.
  4. Special Vehicle Coordination: Coordinate the use of special type vehicles, such as extending trailers, step frames, and low loaders, to meet customer requirements.
  5. Abnormal Load Planning: Plan and communicate the movement of abnormal loads in line with legislation, ensuring compliance and safety.
  6. Performance Analysis: Review vehicle tracking systems to identify inefficiencies and improve performance, reducing costs and enhancing customer satisfaction.
  7. Cost Reduction: Analyze service to identify areas where third-party costs can be reduced, implementing cost-saving initiatives to benefit the company.
  8. Vehicle Maintenance: Assist in ensuring vehicles and trailers are at relevant service providers in line with legislative requirements for MOT and inspection.
  9. Continuous Improvement: Participate in the continuous improvement of customer service, processes, and cost effectiveness, responding to inquiries in a prompt and professional manner.
  10. HSEQ Culture: Promote a proactive HSEQ culture, ensuring participation and compliance with all laws, regulations, and industry standards/codes.
Requirements:
  1. Strong Interpersonal Skills: Possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  2. Planning and Financial Skills: Demonstrate excellent planning skills and experience in financial planning and tracking.
  3. Independence and Teamwork: Be able to work independently while being a positive contributor to the wider team.
  4. Adaptability: Be accustomed to working effectively in a fast-paced environment, adapting to changing workloads and priorities while maintaining high standards under pressure.
  5. Computer Literacy: Be computer literate across the Microsoft suite, particularly Excel.
