Job Overview:

Hampshire County Council is seeking an experienced Educational Psychologist to join our Virtual School team. As a key member of our team, you will provide psychological services to support the achievement, inclusion, and success of children in our care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide psychological consultation, assessment, and intervention services to school staff, social workers, carers, and professionals.
  • Develop and deliver training programs to enhance attendance and engagement with learning in mainstream schools.
  • Collaborate with the Virtual School team to ensure a focus on nurture and trauma-informed practice.
  • Work closely with school staff, social workers, and carers to provide support and guidance on child development and educational needs.

Requirements:

  • Experience in educational psychology, with a focus on child development and educational needs.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a focus on collaboration and partnership working.
  • Knowledge of child development theories and practices, with a focus on nurture and trauma-informed approaches.

  • A competitive salary range of £58,348 - £62,540 per annum, plus up to 2 SPA.
