In this position, you will oversee the delivery and enhancement of cleaning, catering, and maintenance services across a diverse portfolio of properties and administrative offices. The operational scope includes managing a budget exceeding £14 million annually and a workforce comprising approximately full-time equivalents. This role entails direct supervision of a central team responsible for overseeing the broader operational workforce and execution strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
Spearhead the execution of Soft Facilities Management services across various Council locations. Establish clear priorities, objectives, and performance benchmarks for your team, fostering an inclusive and high-achieving environment where team members can grow and excel. Generate reports on productivity metrics and other key performance indicators. Recognize and implement enhancements to operational workflows and practices. Transition the janitorial services currently managed by school leaders into a centralized Soft Facilities Management framework.Qualifications and Skills:
Extensive experience in managing Soft Facilities Management services across multiple locations and service lines. Proven track record in line management within a dynamic, customer-oriented team. Strong skills in people management, coaching, and leadership. Experience in transforming service delivery, managing contracts, and optimizing budget resources while achieving efficiency and cost-saving objectives. Specialized knowledge in Soft Facilities Management services, particularly in Catering, Cleaning, and Maintenance. Familiarity with relevant technical standards for Soft Facilities Management services, preferably within a local government context. Ability to effectively manage competing priorities and organize workloads for both yourself and your team.
