About the Role

Mayford James is seeking a highly experienced Fixed Income Program Manager to lead our US Investment Management team in the City. The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of fixed income in an asset management firm and a proven track record of delivering large-scale, complex change programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Program Leadership: Direct a large-scale, complex program with multiple internal stakeholders, ensuring successful delivery to required timescales, budget, and quality standards.
  • Stakeholder Management: Partner with business sponsors and technology teams to ensure seamless delivery, reviewing and signing off on program deliverables with no exceptions.
  • Strategy Development: Develop and agree the strategy and approach for overall program delivery, ensuring quality and adherence to high standards.
  • Risk Management: Assess and mitigate high-priority program risks, escalating issues to stakeholders as necessary.
  • Communication: Facilitate discussions, drive issue resolution, and ensure accountability for decisions and actions.
  • Operational Checkpoints: Facilitate all operational checkpoint activities throughout the program lifecycle.
  • Program Governance: Implement and ensure adherence to program governance, driving discussions to capture detail, resolve issues, and enforce accountability.
Personal Attributes and Skills
  • Asset Management Experience: 10+ years of experience successfully delivering programs in the front office, with 4+ years of proven experience in Fixed Income, including cross-functional change projects.
  • Fixed Income Knowledge: Good working knowledge of fixed income instruments and processes, including portfolio management.
  • Investor Experience: Proven experience working directly with investors in the asset management industry.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work with people across multiple time zones and varying technical, business, and cultural backgrounds.
  • Technical Skills: Very good experience with Microsoft Project, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
