Regional Surveyor

We are seeking a highly skilled Regional Surveyor to join our team at Shepherd Neame, a leading independent brewery and pub estate operator. As a Regional Surveyor, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of our regional portfolio of properties.

• Ensure our properties are compliant, well-maintained, and fit for purpose by conducting regular site visits and inspections.
• Provide specialist advice and effective resolution management in relation to property repairs, maintenance, sustainability, and efficiency.
• Prepare detailed schedules and designs for planned refurbishment and capital projects, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.
• Manage monthly repair and maintenance budgets, developing our wider planned works program to optimize resource allocation.
• Monitor and manage contractor Service Level Agreements, ensuring our supply chain provides the best service to our properties.
• Coordinate regular review meetings with tenants and business development managers to ensure maintenance, dilapidation, and compliance works are completed within agreed timescales and to the highest quality.
• Conduct routine Schedule of Condition and Dilapidation surveys, consulting with tenants and business development managers to identify and resolve issues.
• Ensure all works are carried out to the highest quality and health and safety standards, working proactively with our Health and Safety Team to promote a safe working culture.
• Provide support for out-of-hours emergencies, maintaining key data and records for each property on our central file and program management systems.

• Property-based degree qualification or equivalent, with demonstrable experience in a similar role.
• RICS/CIOB qualified or similar, working towards or with aspiration to become qualified.
• Observant and proficient in identifying, rectifying, and escalating hazards promptly.
• Passion for promoting and supporting a best-practice culture, with the confidence to take ownership of key initiatives.
• Conscientious professional with a strong commitment to quality, friendly and approachable with excellent communication skills.
• Diligent with a strong attention to detail and accuracy, proficient in Microsoft Office 365 and data analytical skills.
• Organized to effectively prioritize tasks and work in a fast-paced environment, with knowledge of relevant construction and landlord safety legislation.
• Full UK driver's license required.
