We are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to join our Supported Studies team as a Work Experience Coordinator. In this role, you will be responsible for sourcing high-quality industry placements for our students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).

Key Responsibilities
  • Contact local employers to generate high-quality and appropriate placements for 100% of our Supported Studies students.
  • Liaise with a combination of new and existing clients to ensure a smooth process for all students.
  • Work with students to get the right opportunities and prepare them to go out on work experience, ensuring they complete the required hours and generate the required evidence.
  • Complete health and safety visits as required and use our online work experience system, Grofar, to record and monitor all placements.
  • Work closely with the curriculum team to ensure a seamless process for all students.
  • Monitor and mentor each student on placement to ensure issues are dealt with efficiently.
  • Complete Access to Work applications and claims for our Supported Interns.
  • Produce regular reports on progress.
Requirements
  • Motivated, driven, and committed to consistently achieving Key Performance Indicator (KPI) targets.
  • Effective management of time and diary to ensure KPI achievement.
  • Excellent communication skills, including experience of working with students with SEND, aged 16-25.
  • Professional 'can-do' approach to working with a variety of staff and employers.
  • Familiarity with work experience and/or apprenticeships beneficial but not essential.

SALARY: £13,866-£16,403 plus pension and performance-related pay, Full-time equivalent salary BAND: £22,365 – £26,500

HOURS: Part-time – 26hrs over 4 days/week for 40 working weeks, 0.62 fraction

LOCATION: Stevenage Campus

PERSON SPECIFICATION
