Job Overview:
As a Work Placement Specialist, you will play a crucial role in preparing our students for successful careers by securing high-quality work placements and internships. You will act as a bridge between the college and industry, collaborating closely with academic departments, employers, and students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with a diverse range of employers to create an extensive network for work placement opportunities.
- Collaborate with academic staff to identify work placements that align perfectly with the curriculum and meet the specific needs of our students.
- Manage the entire placement process, including advertising vacancies, reviewing student applications, coordinating interviews, and confirming placements.
- Provide comprehensive guidance and support to students, helping them prepare for their placements and understand workplace expectations.
- Monitor and evaluate students' progress during their work placements, ensuring they receive the necessary support and feedback to thrive.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of all work placements, adhering to relevant policies and procedures.
- Actively participate in college events, career fairs, and employer engagement activities to promote work placement opportunities and strengthen industry partnerships.
Qualifications and Skills:
- A minimum of a bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
- Proven experience in work placement coordination, recruitment, or a related field.
