Expleo Engineering UK Limited is seeking a skilled Metallurgical Engineer to join our team, focusing on the development and application of metallic materials within the automotive sector.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct research and development on metallic materials for various vehicle projects.
• Stay informed about the latest innovations in metal materials, forming techniques, and joining methods.
• Work collaboratively with design and manufacturing teams to ensure effective material selection and integration into production workflows.
• Lead or assist in laboratory evaluations of new and existing metallic materials to assess performance and identify potential challenges.
• Manage the introduction of new materials at manufacturing facilities, including market analysis, performance evaluation, and goal setting.
• Prepare comprehensive technical reports and presentations that summarize research outcomes and recommendations.
• Engage in data collection, analysis, and reporting to support decision-making processes.

Qualifications:

• A degree in Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
• Significant experience with metallic materials in the automotive industry.
• Familiarity with metallic materials, particularly sheet steel and aluminum used in automotive construction.

Additional Requirements:

• Experience with stamping, welding, and joining techniques is advantageous.
• A valid driving license in the UK/EU is required.
