Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to join our team at Telent Technology Limited. As a Senior Project Manager, you will be responsible for delivering critical and complex projects, managing customer relationships, and coordinating project teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Project Delivery
    • Develop and implement project delivery and reporting processes to ensure timely and within-budget project completion.
    • Act as the primary customer interface for Telent on assigned projects.
  • Financial Management
    • Manage project financial performance and reporting to both Telent and customer stakeholders.
  • Project Coordination
    • Provide regular project reviews, reports, and KPIs for Telent and client review.
    • Ensure contractual quality and health and safety standards are met for all projects.
  • Leadership and Direction
    • Provide leadership and direction to project teams.
    • Plan and ensure the correct resource is booked and available to deliver projects.
  • Subcontract Management
    • Select and manage subcontractors as required.
  • Material Management
    • Ensure material orders are placed on time and within budget.
  • Health and Safety
    • Conduct regular site safety inspections to promote a positive health and safety culture.

Requirements

  • Experience
    • Previous experience in a similar role, ideally within the rail or other relevant industries (Telecoms/Civil Engineering).
    • Experience managing a portfolio of projects, upwards of £4M.
  • Qualifications
    • Formal PM qualification (APM, PMP, Prince 2) or equivalent experience.
  • Skills
    • Excellent knowledge of profit and loss accounts and cash flow forecasting.
    • Excellent financial and commercial experience of managing multi-million-pound business-critical projects.
    • Ability to direct teams in large complex environments.
    • Sound knowledge of quality, health, safety, and environment regulations.
    • Experience of managing complex customer and end-user relationships.
