Job Description

Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at Concept Technical. As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for performing routine and reactive maintenance on plant equipment and building equipment, ensuring all work practices adhere to company health and safety policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform electrical and mechanical maintenance on a day-to-day basis on plant equipment and building equipment.
  • Complete electrical installations to the latest regulations within a fast-moving factory environment.
  • Support the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of key automated manufacturing plant equipment.
  • Implement, document, and report routine maintenance schedules for both plant and machinery using a Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
  • Assist all trades within the facility and complete mechanical repairs when required.
  • Complete reactive work orders within time parameters.
  • Proactive problem-solving ability, ability to think objectively through various options and scenarios.

Requirements:

  • Knowledge of AC/DC drives and their associated motors or pumps.
  • PLC fault-finding to function as our 'go-to' for all electrical controls matters.
  • In-depth knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics.
  • Plenty of initiative, meticulous with detail, and enormous pride in your work.
  • A good working knowledge of health & safety procedures is desirable.
  • 18th Edition Qualification.
  • Qualified to City & Guilds (Level 3) in an electrical / mechanical engineering discipline.
  • Ideally apprentice-trained with experience from an automated, fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Working knowledge of high-temperature ovens and blow moulders.
  • Strong practical maintenance background, working within a manufacturing, production, or industrial environment.
