Job Title: Head of Mathematics

We are seeking a passionate and creative Head of Mathematics to join our team at Shireland Collegiate Academy Trust. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for leading and managing the Maths department, ensuring high-quality education and exceptional student outcomes.

About the Role:
  • Lead and manage the Maths department, developing and implementing effective strategies to improve student achievement and progress.
  • Provide high-quality leadership and management, inspiring and motivating staff to achieve their best.
  • Develop and maintain effective partnerships with other departments and stakeholders to secure high levels of student progress.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Accountability for the learning and achievement of all students studying Maths.
  • Develop and implement effective Maths education strategies, ensuring high-quality teaching and learning.
  • Lead and manage the Maths department, ensuring effective use of resources and personnel.
Requirements:
  • Experience teaching across the key stages.
  • Consistently good/outstanding teacher with high expectations of both learning and behaviour.
  • Exceptional classroom practitioner with the ability to inspire, motivate and enthuse pupils.
  • Committed to raising standards for all and share the same drive to constantly learn and improve.
  • Willingness to lead initiatives and show evidence of impact.
  • Passion to make a difference to others.
  • Proficient with the use of technology for learning and willingness to innovate.
