Role Overview
The position of Wedding Porter and Maintenance Assistant is a dual role requiring flexibility to work weekends on a rotating schedule. This role is essential for ensuring the seamless operation of the venue and its facilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of public areas to uphold the venue's standards.
- Assist housekeeping, bar, and banqueting teams in setting up rooms and rearranging furniture as needed.
- Ensure guest safety by managing signage for wet floors or maintenance activities.
- Utilize physical strength and endurance for moving and carrying large items.
- Exhibit strong listening skills to effectively assess and respond to guest needs and wedding requirements.
- Communicate clearly and effectively with colleagues and guests.
- Perform basic maintenance tasks, including general DIY activities.
- Handle maintenance duties such as changing light bulbs, painting, and decorating.
- Conduct daily checks on essential systems, including gas and kerosene levels, drains, bio units, and waste bins.
- Oversee the cleaning and maintenance of hot tubs.
