**Job Summary**

McGregor Boyall is seeking an experienced DevOps Platform Engineer to join our team on a 6-month contract basis. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and supporting platforms via AWS.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Design and build scalable and secure cloud infrastructure using AWS services.
  • Implement containerization technologies and CI/CD methodologies to streamline software development and deployment.
  • Develop and maintain infrastructure as code using principles and tools such as AWS CloudFormation and Terraform.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement observability and telemetry solutions.
  • Implement security best practices and tooling to ensure the security and integrity of our cloud infrastructure.
  • Work in agile and kanban environments to deliver high-quality software solutions.

**Desirable Skills and Experience**

  • Experience with Jenkins and Ansible for automation and orchestration.
  • Knowledge of enterprise-scale software builds and integration using tools such as Artifactory and CodeArtifact.
  • Experience with deploying applications to cloud using PaaS and SaaS services.
  • Knowledge of OpenShift, Kubernetes, ECS, Fargate, and other container orchestration tools.
  • Experience with AWS Serverless Technologies and Python programming language.
  • Knowledge of CDK, TypeScript, Troposphere, Ansible, Bash, and other cloud development tools.
